UNSW - MBA

Why an MBA?

I am doing an MBA to improve my work prospects. I have developed strong leadership and managerial skills in the workplace. I want to refresh my business skills and take my career to a new level.  Developing and expanding my network in Australia and the rest of the world will give me the kind of exposure I need to progress along my career path.

Why UNSW?

I wanted to do an MBA in English but not in the USA. I have always been attracted by Australia. I researched business schools there and discovered AGSM. I was happily surprised to learn that their class profile suited my age, work experience, background and future ambitions perfectly. The more research I did on its excellent standards, the more I wanted to be part of it.

What do you hope this MBA will help you to achieve?

My professional goal is to become a senior manager for a corporation or my own start-up company. This means furthering my managerial knowledge and skills, but also expanding my critical thinking, decision making, communication skills and leadership skills. Considering how globalised the world is today and the impact international cultures have on many aspects of business, an international MBA program is the perfect move to make to realise my career potential.

How did you apply to UNSW?

One of my good friends had used CW International Education. They assisted me with the entire application process. Although the UNSW website is friendly and the application steps are clear, CW International Education was always there to remind me about deadlines and the requirements I needed to satisfy. They also assisted with legal aspects, kept me abreast of news and helped me to learn more about UNSW and Australia.

Now you are here, what are your first impressions?

I had been to Sydney before so I know how wonderful it is. The UNSW campus is impressive and staff are very welcoming. After participating in all of the orientation activities on offer, I really feel a part of the community. Everything at AGSM is very well planned and executed. My peers are friendly, extremely intelligent and open to the MBA experience. And the exchange between so many different cultures is wonderfully constructive.
